‘Panic!’ is Joost Lieuwma’s newest project after his succesfull film ‘Leaving Home’. Together with writer and director Daan Velsink he developed this comical short. A woman leaves home for a short holiday, when she has a panic attack imagining all things that can go wrong in her home in her absence. Her biggest fears do not come true, but still .. didn’t she forget to ….. ?
Marja gaat een dagje naar het strand, maar wordt onderweg overvallen door paniekgedachten: heeft ze het gas wel uitgedraaid? Het strijkijzer wel van de plank gehaald? De badkraan wel dichtgedraaid? De mogelijke gevolgen van haar ingebeelde vergeetachtigheid groeien in haar gedachten tot catastrofale proporties, maar het is uiteindelijk haar paniekerige aard zelf die haar de das om doet.
